Change colors without logging into the website
Most sites only let signed-in users toggle a built-in theme, if they offer one at all. ForcedSkin is a Chromium extension that applies your palette to CSS UI on ordinary pages, so you can change appearance even when the origin has no theme setting.
This is a browser-side overlay. You are not submitting a site bug report or waiting for the vendor. You also are not installing a Chrome toolbar skin. For the category distinction read browser theme extension.
Popup modes: Light, Dark, Auto, Off
Open the ForcedSkin popup and pick a mode. Light and Dark use the palettes you selected. Auto follows local time (light about 06:00–18:00). Off disables theming on every site until you re-enable it — useful for screenshots or sites you will visit once.
Changing mode does not rearrange the DOM. Ads, copy, and links stay. If only one hostname should stay native while the rest stay themed, use a whitelist exclusion instead of Off.

Pick the palette, then refine stubborn sites
Browse themes for a coordinated scheme, including a custom website theme. Sign-in sync is optional: theming already runs locally.
If a hostname still looks uneven after a palette change, check site adapters or the adapter guide. The engine remains CSS recolor, not an invert filter, so photos should not go negative when you switch themes.
Pages you cannot restyle from the popup
chrome:// URLs, Chrome settings, and the Chrome Web Store ignore extensions. Closed Shadow DOM and bitmap-only UI also will not follow your new palette. That is expected, not a failed click in the popup.

Common questions
Do I change each website’s own theme setting?
No. ForcedSkin applies a browser-level CSS overlay. Site-native theme preferences, if any, are separate.
What is the difference between Off and excluding a site?
Off stops theming globally. A whitelist exclusion keeps one hostname native while others still use your palette. See exclude sites.
Will changing theme block ads or rewrite articles?
No. ForcedSkin does not change layout, content, or ads, and it does not block navigation.
Can Auto use sunrise tables?
No. Auto is a local-time window: light approximately 06:00–18:00.
